For many years our Foundation has held the Respiratory Achievers Awards every two years to celebrate inspiring Kiwis who achieve amazing things despite the challenges of their respiratory conditions. Achievements can be sporting, academic, community or any other area that showcases their passion and talent.
Categories cover all age groups and respiratory conditions. An additional prize is also given -the Cody Forbes Award, named after a wonderful boy from Turangi who had cystic fibrosis. Cody received an Achievers’ Award in 2005 and passed away in May 2007, shortly after his 16th birthday. This award honours Cody’s grace, strength of spirit, humour, and deep love for his whānau which touched everyone who met him.
