Do you live in the Waikato and have a respiratory condition?

Asthma Waikato has been providing community based education services to those affected by respiratory conditions, including asthma, COPD and bronchiolitis, in the Waikato for 37 years.  Asthma Waikato is now located at 45 Pembroke Street, Hamilton Lake.

If you or your child’s asthma is well managed, you will not show any signs or symptoms of asthma; such as coughing, wheezing or being short of breath. Most children with asthma should be able to participate in full school life including sports – even up to the highest levels.    We empower you with knowledge so you can move towards a life free of asthma symptoms.  We explain to you, how your different medications work, how to correctly use your medication, understand what’s happening in your lungs, the potential triggers for your asthma and ways to manage these.

Membership

As a member you will:

  • Receive regular, informative local and national advice and information.
  • Receive discounts on some purchases through the Asthma Waikato.

Membership enables us to continue to provide community services, many for FREE. It also keeps you in contact with the latest information about your condition and how to manage it.

Annual membership costs $25 ($20 for seniors/beneficiaries) and covers everyone living at your address.

Being a member supports us so we can continue to provide help and support to people with asthma and other breathing difficulties.
