We aim to empower clients with acute and chronic breathing difficulties, as well as whanau and caregivers, to achieve increased participation and enjoyment of life through assessment, education and support.

We are open to the public from 9am until 4pm, Monday to Friday. Answer phone messages can be left outside these hours and will be attended to on the next working day.

We cover the Western Bay of Plenty from Waihi to Te Puke. Daily clinics are held at Greerton in Tauranga and at Waihi, plus monthly clinics at Papamoa, Te Puke and Katikati.

Our services

We provide free one-to-one education

  • Assessment of asthma control
  • Pathophysiology of Asthma/COPD
  • Trigger identification and management
  • Correct use of medications
  • Correct inhaler/spacer techniques
  • Self-management plans for Asthma and COPD
  • On-going review and follow-up education

We provide free Lung Function Testing using Spirometry for Asthma and COPD

  • Diagnosis
  • Monitoring progress
  • Assessing response to treatment

We accept referrals from:

  • GPs and Practice Nurses
  • Community Health Nurses and Plunket
  • Hospital, ED and after-hours clinics
  • Hospital Respiratory Educators for community follow-up
